What can we expect weather wise on this tour in May? Where was it the coldest and warmest? Thanks, Sue

sue, I've never taken that particular tour, but have been in those countries in the spring. The weather in May will probably be quite nice during the daytime, but a bit chilly at night. Of all the locations visited, Hallstatt will likely be cooler at night as the lake provides a bit of a "cooling effect". I was last there in about the second week of May, and didn't find it to be particularly cold either day or night (but of course there are never any guarantees with the weather, so this year could be different). Hopefully Charlie or someone that's taken that tour can offer some further comments. Happy travels!

We took the GAS tour last year. We experienced a whole range of weather, from sunny to rain to cold in Switzerland. Best bet is to take clothes that you can "layer" so that you can dress for the days weather. We really enjoyed that tour
(our 9th RS) particularly the views in Switzerland. Have you gone to the Tours page elsewhere on this site, click on your tour, look along the right hand side of the page and you should see "Tour Weather" it should give you a big range of temperatures.
