Fussen over Christmas

We will be in Fussen area/ Bavaria 24 and 25 December this year and would like to know of a possibility of a sleigh ride and toboganning in the area. Also, will we be able to attend an English church service in Fussen? Any other tips over those 2 days would be appreciated e.g. great restaurants etc

I don't think you'll find organized sledding in the immediate area of Füssen, but perhaps in the nearby resort towns of Oberstdorf or Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Although I didn't specifically look for it, both of them probably have snow tubing available. There are also several smaller ski pistes closer to Füssen (Nesselwang has one), you might try looking there.

Much appreciated! We're thinking of doing a car trip around castles and Oberammergau on 25th as just about everything will be closed, does that sound like a good or really bad idea for christmas day regards E

My wife and I were in Fussen last christmas, and there weren't tons of options for sledding in town, but G-P has tons of offerings. The town is open most of the 24th, with restaurants being all that open into the evening. On the 25th we were heading from our lodging in Ettal to Munich, and we stopped for lunch in Oberammergau and to view the church. Most of the shops were closed, but the cafes were open. The Wieskirche is on the way in your travels, and is really a spectacular example of rococco not to be missed, either.
