Fuessen Accommodation

I'm trying to find affordable accommodation in Fuessen/Fussen in October this year and after some research, it seems that Haus Peters has some good recommendations. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any link on Google to a website or find any contact information. Can anyone help out?

The phone number is 08362/7171. At least that's the number from the 2009 book.

Allstays.com lists Haus Peters and gives the same phone number as Karen. It also gives the address as Augustenstrasse 5 1/2, which is close to the train station.

The '0' at the start of German phone numbers, like 08362 7171 indicates you are calling from another area code, but if you call from outside Germany, that is assumed. You only have to call 49 (country code for Germany), then 8362, then 7171. (Note: if you are in Füssen, area code 8362, you only have to dial 7171. Neat, huh.)

Wing it. We did and ended up staying in a small hotel where the owner did not speak English. I thought the price and accomodations were fair and the breakfast was continental. To me that is half the fun of traveling overseas. I'm sorry I can't remember the name. We stayed there in 2003.

Hi,
We just returned from the Fussen area and wish we had stayed at Hotel Christine, which was highly recommended to us by our friends in Germany. When I looked at the map, I thought it was too far away from things, but actually it was VERY conveniently located. Darn! Next time.....
Just google and up it'll come. Have fun.......

We are planning a visit to the Fussen area next spring and was looking at Hotel Christine (among others). Jane, when you say the location is very convenient, what do you mean exactly? I was leaning against the hotel because it looks like it's a bit of a trek from the train station (which is how we'll arrive), and we'd rather not take a bus or taxi if we didn't have to. But if there are other redeeming factors to the location, we would definitely reconsider. Thanks!

Oh, and if anyone else has Fussen hotel recommendations (especially for someone with no car), we're all ears!
