From Toledo to Cordoba or to Granada?

Hello all, I'm going to Spain in June, my route will be: Madrid (2 nights) – Toledo (1 night) – Cordoba (1 night or day trip) – Seville (2 night) – Granada (2 nights) - Malaga. But I'm a bit confused on the part of Toledo; shall I go to Cordoba or Granada?
One more thing, is the timing set in each city sufficient to capture all the important sites? Appreciate your recommendations guys.

Before an accurate answer can be given, you need to indicate your mode of transportation? Auto - train - bus. Also, what do you want to see - Madrid: The Prado, Park Retrio, The Palace, The Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Sol, and the list goes on and on and on. Toledo: The Cathederal, The Santa Cruz Museum, Plaza Zodocover, El Greco Museum, The San Juan Monestary, and the list goes on Sevilla: The Palace, The Cathederal, The Library Indicos, The Jewish Quarter, and the list goes on. In short, you might be better to concentrate on a smaller number of cities and enjoy them more.
Others may have a different thought, however.

Hi Ahmad, I have done almost this same itinerary and it is very easy by train. You might want to consider 3 nights in Madrid and make Toledo a day trip. Toledo is great, but it's a short 30 minute train ride (under E10 if I recall) on the high speed Ave trains, which depart twice per hour. You would also avoid having to pack and unpack quite so much. Also, in Granada, check out the Hotel America on the grounds of the Alhambra. Great setting. and the Alhambra is not to be missed. If you are flying home after Malaga, consider flying from there rather than backtracking to Madrid. I love Spain and these cities! You will have a great time. Solh, Ross in Denver

Thanks guys for the great information you mentioned, actually we are going to use busses and trains mainly. HJ, the sites you provided has been noted and defiantly eill be covered. Ross, I think I'll go for toledo's as a day trip from Madrid. Moreover, I still need your recommendation on the next step from Toledo, shall I head for cordoba or to Granada first? Putting in mind visiting Seville after. Thanks,
Ahmad

I did Cordoba first after Toledo and then Granada. But I don't think it matters really. Cordoba is an easy daytrip from Sevilla if you wish to skip the overnight, though I like it at night. I think I did Cordoba first after Toledo because it cut down on travel time in one day. It's actually a long day of travel from Toledo-Madrid-Granada by train.

You order should be Cordoba, Seville, Granada. Seville is to the west while Granada is to the east. From Granada it is a two hour bus ride to Malaga. Look at a map.

Another thought In Sevilla, Really Discover Sevilla Tours good and knowledgeable...also the tour group is smaller than some of the other companies..

I would do Cordoba as a daytrip and take an extra night for Seville.

I disagree with the suggestion to make Toledo only a day trip from Madrid. Even though it involves transferring hotels for a night and going back into Madrid by train before continuing south, Toledo is still worth at least one overnight. The city is completely overrun by day-trips during the day, but stunning in the early morning and evening. If you only go for the day, you miss much of the city's charm.
