We are a party of 7 looking for a casual location for dinner together. We are all traveling in different countries then meeting in Paris. Is there a restaurant where we can experience French food and hospitality without taking out a second mortgage? All adults, staying near Glacier Metro stop, but willing to travel anywhere in the city. Thank you for your assistance and experiences.

If you like steak and fries, there is a restaurant called Relais de l'Entrecote. There are two locations, one in the 6th Arron. and one in the 8th Arron. The food is served family style and when we went on a Sunday afternoon, the place was packed. My teenage daughter and I loved it! A warning though - there is only one choice for the meal - salad, steak and fries, at a fixed price. I can't remember if dessert or bread was served. Go to www.zagat.com for more information on addresses, times and more reviews. We are going to Paris in June and I plan to take our family of six there. It was not overly expensive relative to other restaurants.
I was on tripadvisor france forums and there are posts about a fun sounding place, good for families and groups, that I think I will try next time.
You could just google it to read reveiws etc or go on ta and read somones post about it, sounded fun.
It is called La Taverna De Sargent Recruteur".
