I just got tickets to the French Open and am visiting Paris for the first time this June with my daughter(25) and sister. Is the French anything like the U.S.Open?
Clay courts which have been very hard for Federer to win on. The courts themselves give a different spin to the ball and the players have to deal with the slide.
It will be busy and fabulous. I am just hoping that the sun we are having today will bless the open this year. Last year was very cold and rainy - several days of play were cancelled.
At the U.S.Open there are many vendors selling Open merchandise. My daughter tells me this is not the case at the French Open.We have tickets for Philippe Chatrier stadium.(women's semis)We were not fortunate enough to get tickets to the men's finals but have general admission tickets for the final and hope to watch it on the big screen.Don't they have a cover for the Philippe Chatrier stadium?
In what way are you wondering if they are alike?
is there merchandise available to buy with the "french open" logo? how do people dress to attend the french? can you take pictures? are the crowds similar to the us open-loud or subdued?
