I am looking for a 2-week French language course, beginning level, in Paris or southern France. All I can find right now are college-aged student programs. Any ideas? I wanted to go Spring 2009.
A few weeks ago I looked for language courses in Tours. One of them you pay by the week for instruction, room and board (you live with your teachers) and afternoon excursions. It is pricey so it won't be for college aged kids. I also went to school in Aix-en-Provence which has a large program for foreign students but that takes a year or two. Good luck. You also might see what your library has to offer in the way of French language CDs.
Check into Alliance Francaise (alliancefr.org) for their courses in Paris and in other large cities of the world. Maybe even in Los Angeles.
there is an article about this in the about.com forum on french. See http://french.about.com/od/schools/French_Language_Schools_Learn_French_French_Schools.htm
thanks so much, these are great suggestions.
