May I take smoked, vacuum-packed salmon into France?

I have and my relatives loved it. No one stopped me. Don't know if thats offical enough , but since it is a processed meat and vacum sealed it never occurred to me there would be an issue, and there wasn't.

When it comes to food, I'm not sure that France has many issues with what you bring in. They might even allow a whole fresh salmon.:-)
