I know the Bagels & Beans chain in Amsterdam offers free Wifi ... do you know of other cafes, brown cafes, or even coffee shops that offer free wifi to customers?
Well Starbucks in Paris offers free wifi,, and there are Starbucks in Amsterdam,, so I bet you will find it there also.
The easiest way to find free wi-fi is to simply Google "free wi-fi Amsterdam". I do this for any city I am visiting to find the pubs, cafes, or libraries that offer this.
Thanks, but I was looking for personal recommendations based on experience. Anybody else?
The new modern city library has over three hundred terminal to surf the net free of charge. The terminals on the ground floor are usually occupied, just go to one of the upper floors. Ethernet connections are also permitted if you want to bring your own laptop/cable. WiFi is available and free of charge but you have to sign up for it, details available from the staff. The library is located here (ten minute walk from Centraal Station): http://g.co/maps/q4gcy
I'm replying to my own question. I'm in Amsterdam now, and the "Bagels & Beans" cafes are WONDERFUL. The hours of operation are 8:01am to 6:03pm. I had a gluten-free bagel with ham for breakfast ... wonderful.
