I notice in Rick's book that there are free bikes available in certain Swiss cities, for example Berne and Lausanne. Other then the ID and 20SF for deposit are there any more requirements to reserve the bikes. I have emailed 3 times over the last 2 weeks and then called the places and no one spoke English. I am trying to reserve for a large group. Do you have to have a hotel reservation in the city you rent from?
