I am about to purchase a ticket on the bahn.de website. The train is an ICE, direct. The trip is just under 5 hours. The first class ticket is all of €10 more than a second class ticket. Is it worth the €10 to go first class?

Frank might disagree with me. I only look at the trip. The only advantage I know of is the width of the seat. I don't use all of what they give me in 2nd class. I'd hardly pay for more I wouldn't use. On the other hand Frank had to buy first class because he waited too long for 2nd class. When he had an unexpected layover in Nürnberg, he got to use the 1st class lounge. He thought that was worth the extra cost.
