Am flying to meet up with some family in Frankfort, but going to be there a few days earlier. Where is a centrally located and inexpensive place to stay????
The Hampton Inn website shows a property in Frankfort. But that's in Kentucky. The website doesn't show any Hampton Inns in Frankfurt, Germany. There is a Hilton, but it's over $200 per night.
On the other end of the S-Bahn line that runs through FRA is Mainz. You can get a single room there for $80+/- (weekends a little less) at Hotel Königshof, which is right across the plaza from the station and the S-Bahn to the airport.
Hopefully Jo will jump in as the Frankfurt am Main expert.
You can look for hotels pretty easily on HRS.com.
I am have looking at hotels in central Frankfurt. Jo confirmed for me that the Neue Kräme was a good choice. It is right near the Altstadt and the Hauptwache Sbahn Station. The Hauptwache station is serviced directly by S8 & S9 from the airport.

I prefer hrs.com for making reservations. They lay out the terms pretty clearly.

We have stayed at the Hotel Carlton by the main train station. Nice rooms and a good breakfast and inexpensive. www.carlton-frankfurt.de
When, how many people, and budget amount? Dozens and dozens of places to choose from, depending on what you like, etc. Lots of beautiful old neighborhoods to stay in too. The public transportation is easy and efficient, so you don't really have to stay next to the train station.
Lee,
I think James was joking. It was a funny, if cryptic, way to point out that Frankfort is in Kentucky while Frankfurt is in Germany.
Doreitha,
I would suggest starting at tripadvisor.com. It will give you a long list of potential places to stay, maps, price range and reviews.
