After a 7 day Paris tour, where should I go for another week? I'm a Solo traveler, should I explore more of France or fly to Lisbon? I've been to Nice, I'm on a Budget and prefer not to rent a car. Any suggestions?

Rome or London would be my choices,, but I guess there are many other good ones. I guess I would look at a few different points,, like flying home,, if on a budget if may be cheaper to fly home out of London then Lisbon,, I would have to research that..

And btw,, I would stay in Paris,, as seven days isn't enough time to see much in my book, my shortest visit there was 9 days,, and that was too short.. and I had been many times before that.. you know there are literally hundreds of sites in Paris,, you could enjoy a few day trips out of the city,, you can spend an afternoon doing nothing but wandering and stopping at cafes,, you could visit a big museum a second time( you can't see much of the Louvre or even the Orsay with only one visit) .. and if on a budget staying put is the cheapest option anyways.

Mot of the year, I'd go elsewhere in France (where would depend on the weather). But who cares what I'd do? (Besides me.) Portugal is a great choice and a fascinating, friendly country. If that is what you want to do, it is a fine plan.

Adam and Pat make good points--just depends on what you want. On a budget I'd stay in France to potentially save transportation costs. You could spend more time in Paris as Pat suggested and then train to Lyon. It's a great city too.

I loved Lisbon, and could happily have spend a week there. I bought a transit pass and went all over - it is a fabulous city and was much more than I expected. I haven't been to France in several decades, but I have no desire to return.....but I'd love to go back to Portugal and Lisbon.

Wow Kia ,, I travelled all over Europe( and Greece) about 25 years ago,, ( 1985) and there were a few places I liked less then others,, but now,, decades later, I would return and try them out again,, since first impressions are often tainted with various factors that could be different now..
