My wife and I are headed to meet my brother and his wife in Paris, spending a weekend with them in the city and another with her family at their farmhouse.
What would be a good 4-5d day trip in October?
- Loire valley, Provence, Alsace (nice but I've done them)
- Pyranees / Carcasone
- Alps
- Bordeaux

To be completely honest, I'd spend the first weekend plus 2 or 3 more days in Paris, then maybe an overnight trip to a cute little town in Normany.
I think Paris needs more than one weekend to really be enjoyed. But that's just me.
Burgundy is lovely in the Fall and only a few hours south of Paris. The vineyards are beautiful at that time of year and thedriving is easy... we know great places to stay if you are interested.
