France Miniature

We will be renting a house SW of Paris (about halfway between Versailles and Chartres) in late Sept/early October this year. We are thinking about taking our 4 year old twins to France Miniature. Can anyone who has been there give thoughts or opinions on it?
We are also looking for some young-kid-friendly ideas in the area between/around Chartres and Versailles. We will definitely hit the gardens at Versailles and visit Chartres Cathedral. This is visit #7 for hubby and me but only visit #2 with the kiddos. I am finding it a bit more challenging to find activities that will be good for them! Thanks! :-)

This may help...or not. I have never been to the French Miniature. A few years ago my wife wanted to stop at a similar attraction in Belgium. I went, expecting we would spend a boring hour or so. Three hours later, I had to be dragged away! We also went to one in Switzerland, near Lugano, and while not as impressive, it was pretty darn cool. I was fascinated by the moving parts, the to-scale buildings, and all the detail. So with that being said, it might be a neat experience. If I had known there was one close to Paris, we might have gone on our last trip.
Although I am a little older than 4, (at least mentally, physically I am a lot older) I enjoyed it and I think your twins will also.

Julie, It's been about 10 years ago, but I took my 4 year old there and he loved it. I enjoyed it also. If it hasn't changed much since then, I'm sure all of you would enjoy it. We just happened to be there when they were having a food festival and as you walked around to each region, they were giving out samples of their specialties. It was quite a fun day!
