Hello everyone. We are taking a Med cruise and are choosing an excursion between Le Castellet and Bandol OR Cassis. Is anyone familiar with these towns? We are looking for a traditional quaint medieval town. Thank-you very much!
I have only been to Cassis, and I enjoyed it very much.
I've been to Cassis twice, and I love it. It is small, but charming. The area along the waterfront is pretty touristy, but there are vineyards behind the town, and of course you can hike or boat to the narrow fjords (calenques) nearby.
Have not been to the other two, but while Cassis is a charming coastal town, I don't think I would characterize it as "quaint and medieval".
Cassis is far more attractive than Bandol (although Bandol has better wine!). Yes, a little touristy, but still beautiful.
Thank-you for the tips everyone. Much appreciated!
