Planning a trip in september. Wud like to see paris, versailles, rouen, Mont St Michel, Provence, Tours ( loire valley ) and Eze. I have 12 days, woudl like to travel by train / bus. Pls help me plan the itinerary.

THIS september,, as in less then 2 weeks from now? Hve you got a hotel booked in Paris. That should be your priority. With only 12 days I would pare down the list of must dos. YOu can stay in Paris and take a day trip to Rouen( I have done this and it is simple,, but I booked my train ticket in advance and got a great deal,, you will pay alot more I think) Versailles is an easy daytrip also. Only about 6 euros to take the RER there, no need to book that ahead. I would not do Mont St Michel as a daytrip,, there are bus tours there, ( look at Cityrama and ParisVisions) but they are not cheap and they are long days. You could visit the area for 2-3 days and see more of Normandy. Same with Loire Valley, you can get a bus tour there for the day( same companies) but would be nicer to spend a few days in area and rent a car to visit the various Chateaus. Forget Provence you really don't have that much time ,, but I know some people like to rush about so it that is you then perhaps someone else will chime in with advice about that ,, I am not experienced with that area having only visited it once,, years ago with family.
