My wife and I will be driving (renting car in Lyon) from Lyon to Rouen with 4-5 nights on the road. Thinking of going through Limoges, Mont St. Michel, Normandy. Any opinions, must-sees, or stay here kind of feedback? Thanks in advanced, Steve.
Chateu Ste Michele, Normandy Steven I don't know the chateaux country very well but I have a passing acquaintance with Normandy and don't recognize Chateu Ste Michele, Normandy. Could you possibly mean Mont St Michel in Brittany? Or does Normandy have something else I've missed?
I'd suggest the following route(connect the dots): North to Beaune (Burgundy wine country), Orleans to Tours ( Loire Valley chateaux country), Dinan (one of best towns to visit in Brittany), Mont St Michel, Bayeux ( Normandy D-Day beaches) , Rouen.
You are correct, I miswrote Chateau Ste. Michele (a good winery in Washington) for Mont St. Michel. Thanks for the correction.
There is a whole post of detailed information that Ed gave me for an upcoming trip to the Normandy area. It was fairly recent so you can go back about a month and it should be posted with my name Terry Kathryn as the poster.(I am sure there is a better way to help you find this post, but I don't know it)
