France Accomodations Feedback

Hi. Was wondering if anyone could comment on the accomodatinos my husband and I have selected for our June 2009 trip: Nice - Nice Garden Hotel; Bayeux - Hotel D'argouges. I'm looking for info beyond what I can find on Trip Advisor, as I have already read most of those reviews.

I have requests in to several for our time in Avignon, so if you have any recommendations, please provide.

Thanks much!

The Bayeux hotel looks lovely. I remember walking past it when we were there last year. Beautiful place.

Hi Sarah! My wife and I stayed at the Hotel D'Argouges this past summer and really enjoyed it. It is an old mansion but in good condition. It is as beautiful as the pictures. On our one month trip it was the only place we stayed where there wasn't a shower, only a tub, but that was fine as it was over-sized and had the removable wand faucet. The breakfast was sparse, but good-Croissant, coffee/juice, a bit of yogurt and small bit of cheese and baguette. It was all served sit down by maids in full uniform.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Only bad part of our stay there was since it's a small family run hotel they don't have 24 hr staff. We were woken up at 3 AM to someone banging on the front door as they arrived so late.

Location was good too as it was on the far end of the main pedestrian street, so a bit quieter, though all of Bayeux was quiet. We loved our stay at the D'Argouges and also our stay in Bayeux. We want to go back!
