I will be traveling to France, end of October, first part of November. What would you suggest I pack for a trip through France on the water during this time?

I will be traveling down the Seine, and going to Normandy, after spending 3 days in Paris.

An umbrella, waterproof shoes or boots, waterproof jacket, waterproof gloves, waterproof hat.

From what I've been told by French people who have lived or visited Normandy, Nigel's answer would be accurate no matter what month.

We wore wool sweaters and long pants under our raincoats out on the D-Day beaches and were still freezing one cold, drizzly day in July! I'd bet on more of the same but a bit colder.
