You wouldn't necessarily expect this, but the Belgian Royal Military Museum has one of the best collections of WWI and WWII artefacts I have ever seen. Besides just focusing on the role of Belgium in those wars, the museum seems to have a complete set of nearly every military uniform from every major country invovled. Particularly unique, I don't think I've ever seen a larger collection of German headgear from WWI (including countless variations of the well known spiked helmet). If you only see the Grand Place in Brussels, you'll miss this museum, as it sits farther away in the Cinquantenaire Park.
