For those who liked "Midnight in Paris"

If, like the lead character in the movie "Midnight in Paris", you also sometimes find yourself nostalgic for the Paris of years gone by, you might enjoy this internet radio station that plays old-style French music. It styles itself as Paris jazz café radio. Kinda fun.
By the way, how did you like the movie? http://www.jazzradio.com/pariscafe

Just watched it on a plane and I loved the scenery, music and cute little story. I just had to overlook the fact that the lead actor annoys me to no end....
I will definitely look up that website as I love french music.

It is not out on DVD yet. When it is, I will buy it for the scenery alone. I went to see it twice and it really took me back. Luckily, I will be in Paris again in a couple of weeks. I can't wait!!!

Thomas - thanks for the link - I enjoyed the music. I read somewhere that "Midnight in Paris" was one of Woody Allen's highest grossing films - must be because we all saw it twice! Beautiful film - looking forward to the DVD!

Cool! Merci, Thomas in Vienna. The link has gone on to all my francophone and francophile friends. My Parisian-born husband has already shouted out from upstairs "Thanks, where'd you get that." The answer, "a poster on RS, bien sur."

Lots more people seeing the movie... last week on my way to Portland it was a movie on my Delta flight you could pay for (I did) and yesterday it was the free movie on the way from Portland to Orlando... so pretty much the whole plane watched it. It is probably one I will get on DVD for the scenery... it was even better the second time, but still not in love with Owen, but he is growing on me.

Listening to the great jazz instead of that crappy show "Glee" wifey has on. Big improvement.
Will be in Paris next week, so pumped. Does anyone have a recommendation where I could go hear jazz like this?

Good question. Where to find a jazz club in Paris where it is smokey and the men wear fedoras and the ladies are in slinky dresses and suddenly Cole Porter walks in... :-) And thanks, Dave, for the TSF Jazz station. Am listening to it now. Good stuff.

It's on Netflix now as well. Loved the feeling of 'old-school' Paris that the movie suggested. Can't wait for our next time there in June.

Loved the movie, but agree and would have like someone other that Owen Wilson as the lead! There are lots of jazz clubs in the Latin Quarter, for a casual evening. If you look on the Internet you will find the city is full of them.

Great scenery, but Owen Wilson as Woody Allen; just doesn't make it.

Bought the DVD at Walmart. Someone on TA said it was a good movie to watch if you are going to Paris. Loved it & passing it on to the other ladies to watch before our trip in 8 weeks.

I liked Owen Wilson in this role as I did his portrayal of a Naval Flight Officer in "Behind Enemy Lines", and I'm going to look for those steps on that link-thanks.

I thought Owen Wilson did a fantastic job playing the "Woody" in this. He was much more charming, and to be honest believable than Woody himself would be, especially at his age now!
I adored the film, just bought it on blu-ray last week, looking forward to watching a few more times before we head to France in April!
