For Paris - a bit morbid but..

My wife's always been a big Princess Diana and after seeing a traveling exhibition of her life recently, she expressed interest in seeing the crash site while on our upcoming trip. My question - is it possible for pedestrian traffic in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel or is it for cars only and we must take a cab? Thank you

I would think autos only, lest the hordes of Diana devotees get runover inside. The full size replica of the torch of the Statue of Liberty in the round-about above acts as a de facto monument for Diana's followers. Many messages, flowers, and momentos are left there in her memory.

No pedestrian traffic. Way too dangerous. You can see into the tunnel from either end though, up above where the flame statue is and at the other end.
