We will be in Paris September 29-October 1. We're staying on the left bank, very close to the Louvre. Would love to have three good places to eat and three excellent places for jazz music.

When you are in Paris buy a copy of Pariscope at a newstand. It gives current info on jazz groups, where and when, etc., as well as other things going on in Paris that week.

I'm going to be in Paris at roughly the same time. I'd love some ideas for restaurants that are vegetarian friendly. If such a thing exist in Paris ;+)

Au Cadet du Gascogne had live music the night I ate there, although I have no idea how typical this was. The restaurant is located on the market square in Montmartre.

I am a vegetarian and in the 3 times I've stayed in Paris, I've always found wonderful amazing vegetarian food. My last trip in Dec I stayed in the 5th, I mostly ate in small local places, I was right across the street from the jardin du luxembourg. Almost every place has amazing salads, vegetarian crepes. Enjoy!
