Hi! I am flying into Zurich via Lufthansa August 17th, and meeting up with a friend (flying KLM)--any suggestions on where/how to meet!? Also, we are planning on going to Munich...We both bought our Eurail Select Pass from STA travel-how do we go about "reserving" a train and/or connecting with it...especially when we already bought our pass?

While reservations may be recommended, they are not required for your route. Go to the train station. Have your pass validated at the ticket window. Get on the train. Read the railpasses section on this site, particularly this page: www.ricksteves.com/rail/usepass.htm.

Scott, I fly into Zurich on August 17 also, and my mother flies in from Moscow. Her plane lands about half an hour before mine. I told her to wait for me at McDonald's. It is one level down from the arrivals/departures area, in a large food court area. If you don't see it, ask for it, say Wo isch McDonald? The Swiss will be happy to hear you speak SchwytzerTuutsch. There is also a meeting point, called Treffpunkte, but in my mother's case I think it is better for her to go to McDonald's, use a bathroom, sit down, and have a beverage while waiting for me. By the way, McDonald's food in der Schwytz is much better than here, local suppliers.
