How can I score reasonable airline tickets to Paris? Going next fall and prices are very high now. Any suggestions?
I've often seen prices to Paris drop in mid - February, if you want to wait that long to buy your tickets for fall. Don't buy tickets over the weekend, prices are generally lowest on a Tuesday. As the previous poster suggested, you can sign up for travel alerts (I like kayak.com). Flexible dates result in lower prices.
Travelocity, among others, will send you automatic email notifications whenever the price changes for an itinerary. Just go to their website and sign up for "Deal Alerts."
I second KAYAK
Susan, Looking on Kayak.com using October dates I found fares to CDG on Aer Lingus for $732 and IcelandAir for $929.
try cheapair.com i only use them unless i actually come across something that is such a better deal i have to. you are saying prices are already high, well what are you seeing? i am seeing normal prices right now, which is anywhere between $700-1200 those prices will probably drop or even out among carriers come spring. only way to score is find a lowest price now whether direct or one stop for the dates you want and hope prices don't drop too much more than you paid. unless pricing drops more than $100 for the same flight its not that big of a deal
