Seville will be our last stop in Spain before heading to Paris for a few days. Does anyone know which are the best flights (least expensive) and which airport in Paris do you fly into. Then what are the connections from the airport into Paris? Thanks.
Discount airlines Vueling, Transavia, and Air Europa all fly that route into Paris Orly airport. The earlier you book the better fare you'll get....just be sure of all baggage limitations and charges, and check-in requirements. From Orly airport, it's a ride on the driverless OrlyVal people mover train to the Anton RER station, an RER (commuter) train into Paris, then, if necessary, a free transfer to the Metro to get to your accommodations. I think the fare is about 8 Euro.
Thanks, Norm. Do I just look these airlines up online? Is it best to call them? And would it be cheaper to fly from Seville or take the train back to Madrid and fly from there?
They're all available on-line. With the flights available, it's probably still cheaper to fly directly fron Sevilla.
We are doing a similar trip in May. We bought tics from Transavia for around 100 USD each--I think we did add another $10 to select our seats--otherwise you take whatever is available. Our flight takes us into Orly.
The combined fare for the Orlyval to Antony and the RER B from there to central Paris, with connections as needed to the Metro and/or other RER lines, is 9.85 EUR.
There are cheaper alternatives, but they take a little longer. One choice would be to take the airport shuttle bus to the Pont de Rungis RER C station (2.50 EUR) and the RER C from there into central Paris. That fare, including connections as needed to the metro and/or other RER lines, is 3.70 EUR.
Thanks so much!
Thanks Tim for your info on getting from Orly into central Paris.
