I plan to visit my daughter who is studying in Barcelona on Nov 20, 2008. I wanted to take her and her 2-3 friends to a flamenco show or show and dinner. It would be a party of 4 or 5. Where do you think would be a moderately priced location yet interesting for young adults.

Barcelona isn't really the city for Flamenco shows. Flamenco is more a part of the culture of the southern part of Spain, namely Sevilla/Granada. There will be some shows in Barcelona, but they will be very touristy.
A nice tapas crawl would be fun, especially in the Barceloneta district- plenty of nice spots along the 'boardwalk', hope this helps.
