I was looking to see a good flamenco show (not as touristy/overpriced as others) while we are in Barcelona. It doesn't have to include dinner- just a place where we can enjoy the show with a glass of wine. Any recommendations?
Since Barcelona is not a traditional flamenco region, I would guess any shows WILL be touristy/kitschy and probably over-priced. But perhaps someone will have recommendations for the best of the worst (or try tripadvisor).
Just to elaborate a bit on Douglas's point flamenco is from Andalucia (the southernmost province of Spain). Barcelona is in Catalunya different part of the country, different language and NOT home to flamenco. So if you find somewhere that has it, it will by definition be aimed at tourists because it's just not what they do there. I speak as someone who as a Catalyunyan friend in my flamenco class who tells me that most of her family and friends think she's fairly strange for doing flamenco!
