Five Questions Regarding April Visit to Munich

Is the long tram ride from the Hauptbahnhof to the Nymphenburg Palace interesting, or should we take the U-Bahn to Rotkreuzplatz and a shorter tram?Is the renovation complete at the Fraunkenkirche? How much time would be reasonable to visit the Neue Pinakothek? Are there now English desciptions in the Munchner Stadtmuseum?Where can bicycles be rented for a ride through the Englischer Garten and along the river?
Thanks

1. it's really not that long. only about 10-15 minutes. interesting no, but it does pass the Augustiner Keller, if you are at all interested in a great beer garden. 2. it was not complete as of May last year and has been under renovation for the past few times years. I wish I had a more recent experience to share!

1. In theory being above ground is always more interesting than underground, but the difference in the ride isn't so much that it matters, really. 2. Not when I was there last month. 3. I haven't been to the Neue Pinakothek. I found the Alte Pinakothek to be one of the more reasonably-sized important art museums I've visited, but I still had no problem killing 2 1/2 hours there and could have spent longer. The Neue Pinakothek looks to be a similar size, so... 4. Last time I was there, we were given a brochure with English descriptions to supplement the skimpy or non-existent english descriptions of the exhibits. 5. dunno, but you can find the answer by googling I'm sure.
