I am taking a art workshop in the Lot Valley in France mid Sept. I have never been to Spain and would like to go over for a few days afterward. I am contemplating San Sebastian or Barcelona (cannot do both). Any suggestions?

We really enjoyed Barcelona as most people do. This trip we are going to our daughter's favorite place in Europe, San Sebastian. She has warned us though that summers are very fun but by September the weather deteriorates and it is a beach town but with lots of character. Barcelona would probably offer more to do and have more reliable weather although it does fill up with tourists and may be a longer journey
