Fireworks at Versaille and Public transport

Would like to go to the Fireworks at Versailles ( which start at 11PM end around 11:45) and use the train to get back to Paris. Has anyone done this _ concerned about what times the trains stop running. Could use a tour but these seem kinda pricey.
Thanks

I had a look on the website and it appears that the last train from Versailles Rive Gauche to central Paris leaves at 11:55 on Mon-Sat and 10:55 on Sunday.

I don't know how to hive it out, but I think if you hump down to the Versailles-Chantiers station (maybe a mile) there's later, non-rer, trains and maybe buses.

From what I can tell, the last RER C train from Ver-Rive Gauche is at 23:55. You cannot make that one. There is a RER N train departing from Ver-Chantiers at 00:31 that goes to Gare Montparnasse. From there you can catch a Metro to your hotel stop. Assume a 30 minute walk from where you will be at the Neptune fountain - so it is doable. There is also a bus from Ver-Chantiers at 00:48 to Gare Montparnasse. I checked and the last RER L train out of Ver-Rive Droite is at 22:15 so that won't work. If those don't work or you miss your train, you can get a taxi. But that will be pricey all the way into Paris.
