I will be traveling with a friend who is Muslim. Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants who serve halal food?

Holland has a huge Moroccan immigrant population, so there are lots of merchants that cater to it. Head over to http://maps.google.com, and simply type "halal restaurants near Amsterdam" into the search box and you'll get some listings.

It shouldn't be a problem finding Halal food in any of those cities, as they all have a good number of Moslem citizens.
