Thanks everyone for all your help and great responses and quick answers. We have decided to fly into Brussels and spend 3 hours there. Take a train to Ghent and use that as our base and take 2 day trips to Bruges and Tournai. From Belgium, we will be taking the train to Paris and spend 3 full days there. Then one day doing Versailles, and then renting a car and doing Normandy for 3 days. On the fourth day in Normandy, early in the morning we will drive back to Paris and take a train to the Berner Oberland for 3 full days. Then fly to Barcelona for 3 days. Does this sound okay or way too much?? Thanks!!!
Looks reasonable.
Thanks Frank!!!! Whew....we are done!!!!
Hmmm... So you have thought of a place to leave your luggage in Brussels? You might leave your Belgian day trips loose, you might want to return to Bruges. Or, if you check in to your hotel in Gent and settle in you could do Brussels as a half day day trip rather than doing it on the way to Gent. You may find that easier. What route is your train taking to the Berner Oberland? What part of the Berner Oberland? I was with you until the flight to Barcelona. What time is your flight? Zuerich or Basel Europort?
