Hi, Have any of you had any experience with taking the ferry to cross from Hook of Holland to Norwich, England?
I have researched it a little, what I found was it takes 6.5 hours & costs about 36 pounds. This crossing would be ideal for me, since I would be finishing up my Benelux trip in this area and my friends live in Colchester, very near to Harwich. Thanks in advance for any hints/tips/suggestions!
When I took it the service was provided by an HSS high speed ferry not the traditional ship now used so I can't report directly. Its a very good fare, in fact I have seen £34 this morning for foot passenger. Stena is a good service provider and we enjoyed ourselves. For me personally, I would not want an 8 or 9 hour experience, when check in time and disembarking time are included - I would take the train or drive Channel Tunnel now, and do. For you, since you will be in the best location both ends it will probably be perfect. Sorry I can't help more....
