February in Paris

Spouse and I would love to see Paris for our anniversary. Is February a wise choice? Thank you. Roberto

I've been to Paris in late January - early February twice recently and I love it. All the museums, cafes, music venues, etc. are operating and there are very few tourists. The city is beautiful at night and in virtually any type of weather. Just wear a nice warm coat and scarf and you will be fine.

It won't be as cold as Vermont. Lots of indoor things to do in Paris.

If you live in Vermont, Paris in February won't bother you at all. Great time of the year to travel because the lines are short to non-existent.

These past few February's have been unseasonable warm. Typically there killer is the lack of sunshine - not only due to clouds - but also because the sun sets about 16h30 to 17h this time of year - with a sunrise around 8h30. Humidity and cold air from the north is what gets people generally. But I find Paris great during this time of the year because there are so few tourists.

The darn tourists are just ruining Paris. Why are they always where I want to go?!

Thank you all for your feedback. Would you stay in Paris for 7 nights or would you travel to Provence for 2 or 3 days in February?
Focusing on the Rue Clair area; seems friendly and central.
Again, thanks. Roberto

Thank you! We are off to Paris!
Any assistance on lodging, sites, day trips, Provence, et al would be further appreciated.
Again, many thanks! Roberto
