Now that we know we are staying, we need places to eat. We are on a very tight budget for a family of seven.
Thanks.

My friend from work suggested for me to try:
Saint-Malo has one of the highest concentration of sea food restaurants in Europe. It is famous for its local oysters from the nearby village of Cancale.

One of my most favorite dining experiences on the way back from Mont St. Michel, was at a roadside
caravan -- it was parked across from a lovely meadow with horses grazing, and the food (mussels) was superb. It is "fast food" in the sense that it is fried seafoods and french fries and the like, but you can also find other food items that children like. You just have to keep your eyes peeled for these roadside stands when driving around.
