I’ll be in Sevilla, Madrid, and Barcelona this September and am really excited to eat some good paella! Can anyone recommend a restaurant where they sampled some really good (and not exorbitantly expensive) paella? Thanks in advance.
The best paella we had in Spain was in Barcelona, at El Pintor (it's a RS recommended restaurant in the Spain book). It's a block or two from the Cathedral in the Bari Gotic...very nice restaurant (with table cloths and good wine) not too expensive...
The worst paella we had was near the Cathedral in Sevilla (on the east side of the Cathedral on Calle Mateos Gago...don't remember the name, but it was a little higher priced than others in the area, had table cloths...we thought it might have better food...not so much.
Check the Chowhound website for restauants in each city.
Thank you both for your replies! We will be sure to check out El Pintor. Also, I have never heard of the chowhound website, but it looks super helpful and I'm def. enthralled. Thanks again!
