For those of you who visited Sevilla with children, what were your children's favorite experiences? the Giralda, the Cathedral, Maria Luisa Park, and the Alcazar---? We will be there for 3 days in April and are staying in an apartment, looking forward to it but would love your suggestions as to what absolutely to do----or what absolutely not to do! Thanks.
Hi SuzieeQQ, I don't have any answers for you but will be interested to hear your experiences as I will spend July in Spain with my 10 y/o daughter. I am thinking of Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona and Menorca. If you could post something I would be so appreciative! Have a wonderful trip! Best,
Cynthia
I was there in October, 2010 - No child, but this is what I think might be interesting - Columbus!! The tower of gold, the tower of silver, the Library with his handwritten documents, the Cathederal, the Alcazar. You mgiht check with Really Discover Sevilla Tours and see what recommendations they might have. They do have great tours, including bicycle tours that would appeal to your young traveler.
Seville options: Real Alcazar, Plaza de Espana, La Giralda (bell tower), Cathedral (tomb of Columbus), Museo de Bellas Artes - flamenco dancing, Bario Santa Cruz (Jewish quarter), Parke de Maria Luisa, Boat tour on Guadalquivir River.
