One thing I didn't read on Rick's guide is about the museum. (Maybe since I have an older copy) It is on the right side of the huge plaza when you face the Basilica. I knew of Our Lady's crown that has the bullet that hit Pope John Paul II because of the movie about him, so I asked the Information desk. The crown is on display, and is also used to crown her image during processions. I found out that there's a lot more items in the museum gifted by Popes to Our Lady. I wish I knew earlier since we had to run to our bus back to Lisbon and cut the museum tour short. It only costs 1 Euro/person. Excellent time spent, before you go to the bare new church built by Pope JPII. I spent more time there walking around.
