Fat Tire Bike Tours in Paris

Does anyone have any experience with bike tours in Paris? We had looked at the Fat Tire Bike Tours and thought it looked like fun.

We did the night tour of Paris and it was definitely one of the highlights of our whole Europe trip. Seeing the city all lit up and being in the midst of everything in that way was just magical. It's not too strenuous either, especially because there is a lot of stopping and starting (part of the time you are part of a group riding in traffic, but don't be nervous -- there are people in front of and in back of you). It's really one of my favorite memories. When we go back to Paris, I want to do another one of their bike tours.

thanks I think we will do it. We are looking at the day tour but the night tour sounds interesting.

We just did the Fat tire tour in Versaille! Wonderful trip. It helped that our guide, Bronwin, was from Texas and a fellow Aggie with two of our other travelers. It was a highlight! The riding was easy. Getting through the town was not difficult. We even had to ride to the train station and put our bikes on the train. Piece of cake. All four of us traveling were in our 50's and not the athletic type. I would highly recommend the tour company, especially the trip to Versaille.

I just signed up for the Versaille tour, wasn't going to even go, but my daughter studied Versaille last year and really wants to go...and this sounds like a nice way to go and have a different kind of adventure.
Thanks for posting it!

We did a tour in Paris which I posted a reply to in the Paris Bike Tours question but I just wanted to say we also rented bikes on our own at Versailles which are available in the garden behind Versailles and it was absolutely wonderful if anyone's interested in doing it on their own. We rode all around, through the gardens, to the Petit Trianon, the Hamlet and through the forest. It was magical.

We took the Fat Tire Tour of Paris last summer. The six of us (three couples ranging from the late 40s to the early sixties) agreed that it was the highlight of a three week trip to France. We almost did not do it but then we did and it was amazing. From the Tower to the Seine, with stops at the ice cream store and various sites. I wished that there were multiple destination tours within Paris so that we could sign up for different ones each night. Paris is a GREAT place to ride in a group.

I have taken the day and the night tour. Both were different and equally fun. The night tour includes an ice cream stop near Notre Dame and an hour long cruise where they provide you with wine. There are a few harrowwing moments in traffic, but otherwise the tours are great.
I am trying to decide between the tour to Versailles or Monet's Garden this year.
