Has any body tried this?
Looks like a good way to start your first day in Paris. I just want to get a good overview of the city.
thanks
My wife & I took a Car Rouge tour of Paris & then a Segway tour. It's a good way to get an overview of the city. It takes about half a day including the Segway instruction.
Have a great trip

I hear the Versailles Bicycle Tour By fat Bike might be good.
You bike to the train station and once in Versailles you pick up a picnic at the market and then bike around the gardens and then see the Palace.
It takes about 8 hours.
I have done two FT bike tours. My friend talked me into taking the Paris by Night tour first. I wasn't really into the idea, a bit intimadated by traffic and being middleaged,, I haven't cycled in years, let alone in a big city.. but she begged , and she paid,,, LOL
I LOVED it,, it was so fun that we booked the Versailles by bike for the next day( which was dumb as it was a late night, and then an early morning, but its the only dates that worked for us) .
I absolutely recommend the FT tour as a great way to become quickly acquainted with Paris. The tour guides are fun , young and funny. The info you get is short and sweet( no long lectures) , but enough to definately whet your appetite .. the tour really gives you a great idea of which places you want to return to the next day to see more of,, and I have been to Paris many times,( it was my friends first time) but I still learned some new things.
Every post I have read about FT is equally positive, except one where the lady seemed really freaked out by the traffic,, we didn't find it that bad at all, in fact it was fun.." we are the bus, we are the bus" ( meaning tour guide said if we stay in a group in busy places we wouldn't get hit since we would be as long as a bus , and no one runs into a bus,,,LOL, its a joke, but true,, we plowed through as a group and did fine !
My wife and I are going to Paris for the first time in early October and will be taking a bike tour on the first day. We have booked our tour through Bike About Tours which from my research looks like a much smaller group. Check out a 2 minute video on You Tube to give you a better look and feel of that tour.
I have taken two FTB tours, the day tour of Paris, and the Versailles tour. I highly recommend both. Yes, Paris is a big city with lots of traffic. I live in London Ontario with 250,000 people and I felt far safer cycling in Paris then I do here. The French drivers are much more observant and skilled then what I'm used to dodging here. You can always go back on your own and spend more time on something that you find interesting.
The Versailles trip was well worth the money. You take your bike on the metro and the RER to get to Versailles where you buy your own ingredients at the local market for your lunch. While everyone else is walking the grounds you are cycling, you can cover a lot more of the grounds that way.
We are returning to Paris in 2 weeks and I plan on booking their night tour.
Happy cycling.
