We are looking for a farmstay near Appenzell. We are a family with children and our favorite lodgings in Italy were agriturismos. We are hoping to have another similar experience. Has anyone stayed with a family in this general area? If not is there an inn that comes highl recommended? Thank you for your help.

Google for kinder hotels, family/familien hotels, and sport hotels or gasthaus. This should give you some options. www.kinderhotels.com is a great place for families with lots of activities in great locations, but mostly in Austria. The nearest one to Appenzell, CH is Beck, Austria.
