Spending 3 nights in Barcelona mid June. Family of 4 with 17 and 14 yr old. Need place to stay that won't break the bank - any info on Hostel Neutral? RS book says yes, but elsewhere on the site a person said NO! Is A/C needed to sleep?

Yes, you need A/C in June. We stayed with friends in Barcelona; so I can't recommend a hostel.
We stay in hostels frequently because many have private rooms and some with private baths.
Do a google search for "Barclona hostels" and read about them before you decide.
