Family accomodations 4 persons in Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada, Madrid

Does anyone have any suggestions for reasonably priced quad room or apartment (around 150 e) for my husband and I and our 2 college girls. We will be 3 nights in Barcelona, 2 nights in Granada, 4 nights in Sevilla, and 4 nights in Madrid. I have used HomeAway with great success for longer stays, but am looking for suggestions here for these shorter stays. Thanks so much!

When are you going? I checked prices on apartments Sixtyfour in Barcelona (modern 2-bedroom apartment on Passeig de Gracia, a great location) this morning. For a 3-night stay in February, they wanted 155 euros, which sounded pretty good. It is probably more as you go into spring, but maybe not. In Madrid, the Prado apartments get excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and Venere. Price for a two-bedroom is around 135 euros a night in March. This is a good location, near the Prado.

We stayed this June with our two 20ish daughters at Hotel Europa in Madrid. Large enough room and I believe it was 150 euros a night. Very central and directly across from the huge department store El Cortes as well as their favorite clothing chain, Sefera, or something like that. Also two free computers in the lobby. In 2004 we stayed at Hosteria del Laurel in Granada, in a funky room at the top that did have some separation for the girls and was perfectly located. On that trip we also stayed at fabulously located Hotel Continental Palacete in Barcelona but after one look at the basic quad room of four beds inches apart and a window on the alley we took the deal on the spot upgrade to one of their best rooms. It was like staying at a Palace with two rooms. I can't recommend our first hotel in Sevilla but the second, Hotel Alfonso I believe, had a roof top swimming pool that on a hot hot day was amazing and looked over the tile roofs. Everything but my Madrid stay goes back to 2004. Nice your girls enjoy travelling as a family still. We started taking ours to Europe 18 years ago and have love every minute of every trip.

In central Madrid, I'll highly recommend Hostal Acapulco (not a hostel) a couple of blocks over and up from Hotel Europa. This is a small hotel on Plaza del Carmen...in a larger building with two other hotels on different floors. Total per night cost for our quad was €85 per night. Large room, large full bathroom, balcony overlooking the plaza, and super clean. Free use of PC/web in lobby. Iron/ironing board available if needed. Excellent location close to Puerta del Sol. Highly-rated on tripadvisor...go there for other reviews and photos.
