Anyone been to the Metzingen Factory Outlet near Stuttgart?
I am not a person who particularly enjoys shopping, least of all when I'm travelling. However, I have read that this outlet has some amazing bargains. Thought I might be able to do most of my gift buying in one place. I can then tick that box for the rest of our trip. How accessible by public transport is it from Stuttgart? Is it worth the trouble?

Unless you're gonna be visting on a saturday when the shuttle bus operates, the only way to get there is via taxi or rental car:

Hi,
I live near the Factory Outlet (about 25 min drive) and I dont find that it is particulary full of great bargains. So if you are not a fan of shopping, I personally would not even bother!
Not sure where else you are going to be going in Europe, but I find the shopping in Rome & Madrid a much better bargain then in Germany, even in the Factory Outlet.
Enjoy your time in Germany and Stuttgart, we love the region here and the close proximity of many different towns/cities/villages with many things to see and do!
