This is a question for anyone who has been to both Lisbon and Florence. I was planning on 6 days (and nights) in Lisbon and 7 in Florence, but have come up with an extra day (and night) that we could be in either place. Would you use that extra day and night in Lisbon or Florence?

My vote is an xtra day in Florence. You could always use the xtra day to go to Tuscany. Buses regularly leave F for Siena. Or take a tour w/ Greyline tours for many Tuscan villages. such a nice dilema to have . Enjoy.

Been to both. love both. both are in my top 5 favorite cities. but my vote goes to Lisboa. not sure what day trips you already have planned, but if one of these wasn't on the list you could add it - sintra (palaces!!), evora (medieval walled city, UNESCO heritage site), cascais/estoril (chill beach towns and casino in Estoril), palace at Queluz, Ericeira (beautiful beach), Fatima (religiously significant town).
