Odd question to ask and didn't know where to post it...
I have been googling to see if the art will be seen in NYC, or maybe it already had...
Does anyone know if they will be displaying the art in NYC and if so, when?
The deYoung Museum in San Francisco is the only museum in the world that will be hosting the Musee d'Orsay exhibitions this year.
Thanks - I read about San Francisco and I think you mean US, I think I read that Australia have had it...
There are actually two collections - The Birth of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. The De Young is SF will be the only museum in the world to host both collections.
The Birth of Impressionism will be shown in Madrid, San Francisco, and Nashville.
Post-Impessionist Masterpieces will be shown in Canberra, San Francisco, and Tokyo.
Joan,
Sounds like you might like the Barnes Foundation in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA.
Edwin
When are the exhibits leaving France? I can't find the info on the d'Orsay website. We will be in Paris 6/7-13 and will still visit.
The Birth of Impressionism is coming to S.F. starting this month.
The exhibition opens May 22. Here is a partial list of the paintings tht will be in it:
