While in Nantes, my husband and I also want to make the following excursions. Please comment on whether these are reasonable in the time frame I'm proposing. Mont St Michel: We are thinking of renting a car, driving to Dinan, and staying for a couple of nights with a full-day trip to Mont St Michel. I want to be sure to have plenty of time to enjoy Mont St Michel. Is a full day adequate? Recommendations of hotels or chambres d'hote in Dinan? Carmac: We plan a day-trip to see the archaelogical alignments and the museum of Carnac. Can we do that in a one-day trip from Nantes? Loire Valley: I would like to see a couple of chateaux of the Loire. I've never been there and don't want "overload." Traveling from Nantes, what would be two that you would recommend? And suggestions for an overnight stay?
