My daughter and I are horse people, and are trying to decide...Just hit the practice session in the afternoon, or a performance in the evening? I know we have to book early. I've seen the practice, and it worker for me, but she's never been and is agonizing over this as only a 15 year-old can. Any opinions?
I went to a performance the first time I was ever in Vienna, in 1972! Long time ago, but I think an opinion on your question is still valid. I would opt for the performance. I have seen both training and performance, and the performance puts it all together, music, costume, and the patterns of the ride. How far ahead does one have to book these days? Alice
I loved the performance. It was expensive for me at the time but it was absolutely worth it.
Go for the performance! You can get standing room tickets at a cheaper price if cost is a big issue. The performance with music is great.
I would go to the practice session...as a horse person, it was incredibly interesting to me to watch the training of the green horses and the novice riders. We stayed a long time and it cost alot less. We went in May 2008 and it was a highlight !
Here's a vote for the performance - the experience is well worth the money. It's the kind of thing that's nice to do once.'
We went last summer, ordered tickets about 5 months ahead - but I can't say that much lead time is always necessary.
If its on your daughters wish list, I would say you gotta go to the performance. You are so close, why miss the opportunity? Then you can go back a few days later and see the practice- will make more sense and you can see how it fits in Again- why miss the cdahnec to see the real thing
